Cedric Crear – Vice-President, Government Relations – Onda Housing Group – Howard University

Known as a highly respected and effective businessman and community leader, Cedric Crear has a proven track record of C-Suite strategic accomplishments and revitalization driven developments for underserved communities.

Cedric’s professional experiences range from front line operational gaming and hospitality, non-profit and for-profit board memberships to 20 years of elected, public and community leadership.
Beginning his gaming career as a blackjack dealer, as well as working in multiple operational departments, Cedric served as Director of Marketing for many Station Casino’s properties, overseeing multimillion-dollar budgets and driving record revenues.

Cedric founded Crear Creative Group Marketing (CCG), Crear Outdoor Advertising and has served as President since inception. In 2012, CCG merged with Magnum Integrated Marketing, creating the country’s preeminent marketing and advertising firm specializing in hospitality and public sector industries.

Crear served on the Board of Regents for the Nevada System of Higher Education. He was first elected in 2006 and was re-elected in 2012 as the representative for District 1. He served as Chair of the Cultural Diversity and Title IX Compliance Committee and Vice Chair of the Business, Finance and Facilities and Investment committees.

In 2015, Crear was appointed as a Las Vegas Planning Commissioner and in 2017, won election for Las Vegas Councilman, Ward 5, where he has led over $200M of investments into a community many considered forgotten.

Cedric is a partner with SF Paris Restaurant Group: Alexxa’s Restaurant & Bar, Franchisor for Big Chicken. He is an investor and Board Member of Lexicon Bank located in Las Vegas.

Cedric is a graduate of Howard University, life member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated and Sigma Pi Phi Boulé. He and his wife Keiba have been married for thirty years and are parents of two daughters, Hagan and Kennedy.
