After graduating from Harvard Law School, Angela began her career as a litigation associate at Troutman Sanders, an international law firm serving business clients from startups to Fortune 500 enterprises.

A musician, Angela managed to merge her legal skills with her love for music to securecoveted positions as an entertainment lawyer. She advocated for Grammy award-winning recording artists, record producers and songwriters as an associate at the prominent law firm of Katz Smith & Cohen.  Relocating to New York City, she served as Senior Director of Business and Legal Affairs at Motown Records and managed Music Business Affairs for Palm Pictures.

Upon returning to Atlanta, Angela joined the legal department at Verizon (then MCI).  As Senior Attorney for Commercial Sales and Emerging Markets, she streamlined contracting processes to close favorable technology deals and secure revenue faster.

Angela was recruited to join Atlanta Housing Authority, the nationally recognized leader in mixed-income, mixed finance real estate development responsible for game-changing revitalization and reinvestment in Atlanta.  Angela held several leadership roles at Atlanta Housing Authority, including Senior Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer and Managing General Counsel, leading teams of legal professionals who played significant roles in Atlanta Housing Authority’s revolutionary transformation.

Angela is currently a Fulton County Magistrate Court Judge.  She is also a fair housing consultant, serving as Chief Executive Officer of Fair Housing Assessment and Training LLC and as a subject matter expert and instructor for the National Fair Housing Training Academy.

In 2014, the National Diversity Council honored Angela by naming her one of the Most Powerful and Influential Women of Georgia.  She is a member of Leadership Atlanta’s Class of 2015.  She is also a member of the Grady Hospital Ambassador Task Force.

Angela earned a BS in business administration from the University of North Carolina, where she was awarded the John Motley Morehead Scholarship (UNC’s most prestigious academic scholarship).  She earned her JD from Harvard Law School and MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
